What is the difference between an independent agent and a captive agent?
A captive agent can only sell one company’s policies. If that company does not fit your home, vehicle or business, your options are limited. An independent agent can shop multiple carriers and move you to a better fit at renewal without you starting over.
Is an independent insurance agent cheaper?
