Millennium Brokers & Advisor Insurance Agency — The History of MBG Insurance
MBG Insurance is the result of the 2021 merger between Millennium Brokers and Advisor Insurance Agency. Brandon Thompson founded Millennium Brokers in 2017, while Kirk Reisner founded Advisor Insurance Agency in 2006. In 2021, the two independent agencies joined forces to form Millennium Brokers Group LLC, now known as MBG Insurance.
Brandon Thompson CEO & Co-Founder, MBG Insurance
Brandon Thompson co-founded MBG Insurance, bringing an independent, client-first approach to commercial and personal insurance across Arkansas and Missouri. A native of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Brandon earned his teaching degree from Arkansas State University along with a Master's in Administration, and spent time teaching and coaching before transitioning into insurance. He founded Millennium Brokers in 2017, which merged with Kirk Reisner's Advisor Insurance Agency in 2021 to form what is now MBG Insurance.
Brandon holds the Certified Work Comp Advisor (CWCA) designation and specializes in Workers' Compensation, High Value Homes, Lessor's Risk, and Tree Care Risk. After years in Springfield, Missouri, Brandon relocated back to his home state of Arkansas in 2026 to open MBG's Bentonville office, bringing hands-on, local service to Northwest Arkansas business owners and homeowners. He and his wife have three children.
Kirk Reisner Partner & CFO, MBG Insurance
Kirk Reisner has spent over 25 years in the insurance industry, starting as a claims adjuster with American National Property and Casualty in 1998 before becoming a licensed agent in 2001. In 2006, he founded Advisor Insurance Agency as an independent agency and member of the Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA). In 2021, Advisor Insurance Agency merged with Brandon Thompson's Millennium Brokers to form what is now MBG Insurance.
Kirk holds a B.S. in Insurance and Risk Management from Missouri State University and the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation. Based in Springfield, Missouri, he oversees a team of agents across MBG's offices and focuses on commercial insurance placement for small and mid-sized businesses throughout Missouri and Arkansas.
Our History
2006 — Kirk Reisner founds Advisor Insurance Agency as an independent agency and member of the Valley Insurance Agency Alliance (VIAA).
2017 — Brandon Thompson founds Millennium Brokers.
2021 — Advisor Insurance Agency and Millennium Brokers merge to form Millennium Brokers Group LLC, now known as MBG Insurance.
2024 — MBG acquires Insurors of America, an agency tracing back to the early 1980s under Garner Insurance, and Strictly Cycles, expanding MBG's motorcycle program to over 800 policies across Texas and Missouri. Both agencies merge into the Springfield, MO office, and the Strictly Cycles brand lives on today as "Strictly Toys by MBG," MBG's Facebook presence for recreational and powersports insurance.
2025 — MBG acquires US Insurance, a 10-year-old Auto-Owners agency, and opens its second location in Oak Grove, MO.
2026 — MBG opens its third location in Bentonville, AR.
Who We Are Today
MBG Insurance is the current name and brand of Millennium Brokers Group LLC. You may also see us referred to as Millennium Brokers, Advisor Insurance Agency, or MBG — all of these names refer to the same company.
As an independent insurance agency, MBG Insurance is not tied to a single carrier. We shop coverage across a wide lineup of admitted carriers to find the right fit for each client, serving small and mid-sized businesses, homeowners, and individuals throughout Missouri and Arkansas, with additional reach into Kansas and Texas.
MBG Insurance is licensed to write business in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arizona. Individual agents at MBG may hold licenses in a subset of these states — for example, Kirk Reisner is personally licensed in Missouri, while the agency itself carries multi-state authority.
